Painted opal butterflies.

Hi everyone, I've been playing with some new to me art alchemy opal magic paint.
It's so shimmery, and hard to photograph!.

I wanted to play along in the latest challenge at Scrapbook Boutique where they have this gorgeous mood board.
Enter Our Challenge

I was inspired by the greenish background as it reminds me of these paints.

I'm also linking up to the challenge at Seize the Birthday where I'm choosingt he anything goes option.

Lastly, since I've used scraps of black and white card for my layers, I'm linking to the snippets challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. You only need 1 snippet to join in.

I love purple

Hi everyone, been making a few more cards with these botanical dies!
Love the purples in this one. I need to look at a few more books on floral arrangements too to get some more ideas for layouts!

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes this week.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's a make your mark theme.
I sponged colour onto the white diecut flowers & greenery with distress and dye inks.

Seize the Birthday has the optional toppings of lots of leaves.
Rather than autumn, I've used leafy greenery, since it's Spring over here.

There is no stamping on this card, just diecuts embossing and a sticker.

Supplies:
Stampin up botanicals framelits; distress inks and SU rich razzleberry; MFT sentiment strips die; sentiment sticker; Kaiserkraft embossing folder.

Thanks for visiting, have a great weekend.

Raindrops and butterflies

Hi everyone, had such a busy week that the craft room goodies have been neglected!
I've also been potting up some herbs and flowers as Spring is definitely here, so the verandah will be colourful soon!

I made some more of these background panels and decided to add some butterflies to finish one off.
The water droplets were stamped in versafine ink then clear embossed. I blended a couple of distress inks over the top and the embossed design resisted the ink.

To highlight the droplets I went in to each one with a water brush and dampened it, then used some paper towel to blot and remove some of the colour. It's a great tip that I saw on Eileen's blog.

The butterflies were fussy cut and coloured with inktense pencils.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Wednesday where the theme is totally resistable.

At Just Add Ink the theme is to add G. I've gone with Green!

I'm also linking up to the Customer Creation Challenge for October at
Designs by Ryn.

At Word Art Wednesday the theme is anything goes with the option of using the free scripture on your project.

Supplies:
Water droplet stamp from Designs by Ryn; Memory Box cocoa bean butterfly stamp; versafine ink & clear ep; distress inks; inktense pencils; Kaisercraft mini sentiment stamp.

Hi everyone, just using up more snippets from some alcohol inks blended onto glossy card.
I love these small dies as you can get so many leaves from small scraps!

You only need to use one snippet to join in the fun at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. The brown and gold papers are also left over scraps from other projects.
