Butterfly on infusion tiles.

Hi everyone,
I've been playing with more infusions and of course more butterflies!

I pretty much did the same thing as I did with my leaves and autumn butterfly cards.
Spread texture paste through the stencil and while it was still wet sprinkled infusions powder onto it. Some of the colour spread but I wanted to colour the background as well so I spritzed it with water.

This technique is so much fun! The infusions are a bit like brushos but the walnut powder in them gives a totally different look.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday it's powder powder - use embossing or pigment powder. I've used infusions powder.

Blue bird and flowers.

I wanted to link up to the challenge at Scrapbook Boutique before it closes tomorrow!
If you live in Australia, there is this great mood board for inspiration.
I went with the blues and pinks, rather than the balloons.

I'm also entering the soft and simple challenge at Seize the Birthday. I'm hoping the soft blues and pinks will fit the theme.

I've used all dies in this card so I'm putting another entry into the anything goes dies challenge at

Butterfly Journey

Hi again, I'm getting lots of cards made so far these holidays, although my internet usage is nearly gone again!
When I coloured these butterflies they had quite a grungy feel to them so I thought they needed a grungy sort of background. I blended a few distress inks together to create this one.

I found my old typewriter in our shed and typed "ënjoy the"on some tissue paper so I could glue it onto the tag to add to the sentiment. This was my first go and I needed to touch up some of the tissue paper that still showed white. I'll keep experimenting lol!

I'm linking up to the mixed media challenge at Happy Little Stampers where the theme is distress.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's make your mark.
I've coloured the butterflies with prismacolor pencils.

At Word Art Wednesday it's anything goes.

Alcohol ink butterfly

Hi again, I diecut this butterfly from some leftover glossy card pounced with alcohol inks.
I love the polished stone effect.
I recently bought some yupo paper so am going to have some more fun with these inks these school holidays.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Time Out where they have this amazing inspiration pic.

I was inspired by the gorgeous Autumn colours and the arched shape for my tag.

At CASology the cue card is frame.

Supplies:

Autumn butterfly, or is it a moth!

Hi again, I'm back with another infusions experiment!

This time I spread white texture paste through this butterfly stencil, then sprinkled some infusions powder on.  When it was dry I spritzed it with water, the infusions still reacted and created this autumn coloured background! Hubby thinks it looks more like a moth than a butterfly! Either way I still like it.

The challenge at Happy Little Stampers CAS is watercolour spritz.
(I hope the embossed background is still CAS enough.)

The theme at Uniko Studio is autumn with the option of thanks.

I layered the butterfly panel onto a scrap of chipboard, from the back of a notepad, and added gold rub on paint to the edges.

Using scraps or snippets means I can visit the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

A burst of colour!

Hi everyone, I bought this die because it was a great price due to being discontinued, or so the site said.
I'm glad I did as I love how it turned a horrible coloured mess with brushos into this!

The challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More is to make your mark, I used brushos.

I'm also linking up to the Happy Little Stampers anything goes with dies challenge.

Blue butterfly panel.

Hi again, I've been trying to use up the unfinished bits and pieces on my desk!
I used some of this watercoloured panel on my son's birthday card in July and decided to add a couple of butterflies to this piece to use it up.

The challenge at Allsorts calls for black & while plus one.
There is a tiny touch of silver in the watercolours so I hope this is ok.

Sleepy cat!

Hi everyone, I've had limited time on the computer lately as we didn't realize Windows 10 was doing huge automatic updates that had used nearly all of our monthly usage! We're on satellite NBN which is fast, but limited in what we can have per month. Lesson learned!

I've paired this sleepy cat from Katzelkraft with a retired Stampin Up sentiment set called Just Sayin. My cat often looks like this!

I've added some glossy accents to the eye for more dimension.
She is fussy cut and coloured with prismacolor pencils.

I'm, entering the CAS challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

I've used a snippet of black for my tag layer and the sentiment was stamped and diecut from another white scrap, so I'm visiting the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
You only need to use one snippet to join in.

At Happy Little Stampers diecut challenge it's also anything goes.

They fit the challenge at Stamplorations CAS card challenge where there's an optional twist of using pink.

Experimenting with infusions!

Hi everyone, I'm trying a new to me technique inspired by
this this tutorial by Ruth at Argeum Blogspot.

I spread clear embossing medium through this leaf stencil onto watercolor paper and before removing it, sprinkled sage infusions powder on to it. Removed the stencil and waited for it to dry.

I wanted to colour the background and instead of shaking any excess powder off (I think it had dried on anyway) and painting with glaze, I spritzed the leaves with water.
This created puddles of colour galore lol! Blotting with paper towel cleaned it up ok.
I need to practice this more but it was so much fun!

I'm linking up to the anything  goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
